Let it snow

Well the beautiful white stuff came long enough to get us excited for SnoCross and then it was gone.  That's OK its only December.  Cameron and Kyle are excited to start the season off right this weekend.  They are headed for some male bonding and track practice.  I am sure they will be so bored and homesick on the first day, but they insist that they are going to work and no play so we will be bored.  No worries Tienna and mom get a girls retreat (I know you were worried) shopping and movies and sleeping all day.  We are really sad to be left behind but we will take one for the racing team.  Hopefully all this extra practice, overpriced fuel, and horsepower will help him win. Last year he went slow enough to learn the track andi hope his attenuation to detail pays off.  I will definitely post pics and update on how things went.  I do have to say that I am proud of him for having the drive to start a second season and I support his speedometer no matter which way it is pinned.  I will leave you with his favorite quote "pin it to win it".  Good thing the direction isn't specified.

Pink Camo and airplane Rivets?

So finally decided to paint today.  My beautiful red baby is going camo.  Not your regular green, brown, and leafy.  A bright pink and light pink mix will make her shine  She will look gorgeous.  Many exciting changes for her in February and  just in time for her first full pass down the track.  Hopefully the airplane rivets give me a bust of luck because really I am ready to 'fly'down the track.  very very excited but I am keeping the MisBehavin mascot a secret for now.  If I show and tell all no one will come back for the real reveal.  More updates to come.

SnoCross season

So today was very eventful.  Cameron loved riding his new snowmobiles.  We bought them about a month ago and today was a test run.  Besides the exhaust blowing green, due to the large amount of money high octane fuel cost, they ran well.  He was all smiles form ear to ear.  I was a very happy mommy knowing that he actually could win this year.  Tienna spent all day taking her snow mobile test so that she could legally drive on public lands.  She was so excited to ride alone.  We got up there and she did amazing.  Just as we were getting ready to leave she got really brave and headed down the trail by herself.  We had just loaded both sleds and were waiting patiently for her to return.  Kyle and Cameron looked over just in time to see her hit a rock.  She did well but got stuck.  We had to unload to go pull her out.  When Cam got to her she was crying but so proud of herself.  Overall we had a fantastic test day and the beginning to an awesome season.  We also received our first order of merchandise this week.  We got MisBehavin hats.  My wonderful husband enlisted a saleswomen, a very awesome one, and because of her our  business was able to clear a mega 12.00 profit in 2011( I know there is three weeks left, but I am not keeping my fingers crossed that we will get more in before the knew year).  I hope what they say is true and small businesses double their profit in the second year.  If that's the case we may be able to put two gallons of racing fuel in next year.  Talk to you all again soon.  Have a happy and safe holiday from our family to yours.

Racing is stupid

So racing really isn't stupid, but the last couple months have been long and uneventful.  It is alot more fun to be out meeting people and learning how to drive.  The car looks pretty sad all by herself in the garage.  I go check on her often.  I am ready to jump in and get down the dang track.  We are making alot of exciting plans for the winter season.  Tienna is going to race SnoCross for the first time.  It's a little scary to give her a snow mobile and tell her to have at it.  The up side is that there are no trees that can jump in her way.  Cam is excited to try the new sleds.  We are planning on attending more races for these two this year.  I will defineatley update more often.  Also look for exciting changes to misbehavinrcing.com.  See ya soon.

SnoCross

So it has been a while since my last post.  Today we made the massive trek up to Green River Wyoming, where we purchased two racing sleds for Cameron.  We met amazing people who shared their wisdom about SnoCross.  Overall it was an amazing experience.  The down side was eight hours in the car with Kyle....

Till Next Year

So our racing season is officially over because my husband won't let me overnight new heads.  Went to test and tune yesterday, thought everything was running good and that we were going to make some great passes.  Well before that could happen we started the car and it wasn't runningit should.  We tore down the engine to find that a valve seat had came loose and the inside didn't look like it should.  So unless I win the lottery today we cannot run this year.  However this is not goodbye to my racing, We will be ordering parts and rebuilding through the winter.  Next season will go better and I will make a full pass.  I will keep everyone updated.

It's race day...

We are heading out to Rocky Mountain for a test and tune day.  Hoping all goes well.  I have learned that racing is very unpredictable, which is very hard for somene who likes to have a minute to minute plan, like I do.  The plan today is to make a 300 foot pass.  Will post more, hopeflly good news, tomorrow.

Peach Days

We went to the car show and had an awesome day.  We ran into a photographer who recognized the car and said he had some pictures from Rocky Mountain Raceway.  They are great.  His website is thanks2frank.com.  The pictures are under Grafitti Drags and Nostalgia Drags.  If you have a chance check them out.

Peach Days

We will have the car at Peach Days Car Show.

Learning to race

I have created this  blog so my family could follow my journey learning to drag race.  I started my journey in April and attended Frank Hawleys Drag School.  It was an amazing and alot harder then I anticipated. My husband used to race and he built my car.  It is an altered/funny car.  It is a 1942 Fiat with a Chevy big block engine.  The name of my car is MisBehavin.  On Friday August 26th we went to Rocky Mountain Raceway to make first runs in our car.  We had a couple minor driver errors, thats me, and a problem with the fuel being too rich.  It was a very productive day and we fixed our problems.  We went back out Saterday ready to try again.  Saterday was also a success I made it all the way down the track without the car shutting down.  Very happy moment.  On August 31 I had to have surgery on my right hand so depending on what the doctor says this may be the end of our race season.  I will keep you updated.
