Going Pink

So its official, MisBehavin is going pink.  She headed off to the airbrusher last week.  Hope to bring her home next week.  I know I know she looks a little like pepto, but no worries that is just the base color.  In Snocross news it has been a slow season because we are still lacking the key component.  SNOW.  We head up this weekend to the West Yellowstone Expo.  This was our starting race last year so I am pretty excited for this one (there is a bright pink coat they sell that I really want)  hint hint to Kyle if you read this.  There is only one more race after this.  It is at my favorite spot in Island Park.  The people we have met are amazing.  I will update more on Saturday after Cam's first race.

Race Day

Well Cameron took first today...Go Cam.  We are so proud of him.  We are expecting snow, the real kind that lasts.  Fingers and toes are crossed that we will be able to play in it before it melts.  Not a lot to say today, will post more after tomorrows race.

Still no Snow

So this is definitely not the season to be a sno cross racers.  One major part of this is snow and that is not something we have seen a lot of yet.  I have given up hope on feet and feet of powder.  Thank goodness for snow maker machine(kinda like snow cone makers, but really really big).  After taking a weekend off to get Kyle's truck fixed we were finally ready to get back in the game. Last weekend we went to Island Park.  This is my absolute favorite place to race.  The people we have met are nothing short of amazing.  It does feel like for everything we get fixed we have something else break.  Cameron's sled suffered a broken chain housing and chain.  That resulted in us having to call it a day one qualifying session in.  I did get to race vintage for my first race ever.  It was great, I came in third(out of 3).  My first trophy, it is awesome.  After that we went swimming, and yes when you go down the water slide on a tube you do move faster.  The only other highlight we have to offer is the purchase of two vintage sleds.... Happy Valentines Day Kyle:).  They are just beautiful and a great addition to our two skiied family,  The next race is next weekend so a great good luck to Cameron.  Write  more soon.

First Race, no snow

So I have been running behind on blogging.  We went to our first sno cross race last weekend.  Cameron did well, taking second.  He did get hurt and this has severely affected his pride and performance.  Tienna has decided to join the racers this season.  We went out today and it was awful.  Both kids made it about an hour and then were done.  That is a long trip for practice.  The highlight of the trip was Kyle getting a speeding ticket.  Hehehe.  The whole rest of the day he whined about the speed being wrong.  Well of course it was when only  a half mile before he said whoa I need to slow down. At that point he was doing 80 in a 65, but of course the radar gun has a malfunction..  At dinner Tienna choked on a tomato.  That was traumatizing for me more than her.  We did introduce the kids to gambling.  It is amazing how lottery tickets can keep them occupied for hours.  The hardest part was explaining to them that even though their ticket won, they couldn't keep the money.  Well I will post more soon.  The next race is two weeks away.  Hopefully by then they can grow some dedication because this is too pricey to be a hobby.

Let it snow

Well the beautiful white stuff came long enough to get us excited for SnoCross and then it was gone.  That's OK its only December.  Cameron and Kyle are excited to start the season off right this weekend.  They are headed for some male bonding and track practice.  I am sure they will be so bored and homesick on the first day, but they insist that they are going to work and no play so we will be bored.  No worries Tienna and mom get a girls retreat (I know you were worried) shopping and movies and sleeping all day.  We are really sad to be left behind but we will take one for the racing team.  Hopefully all this extra practice, overpriced fuel, and horsepower will help him win. Last year he went slow enough to learn the track andi hope his attenuation to detail pays off.  I will definitely post pics and update on how things went.  I do have to say that I am proud of him for having the drive to start a second season and I support his speedometer no matter which way it is pinned.  I will leave you with his favorite quote "pin it to win it".  Good thing the direction isn't specified.

Pink Camo and airplane Rivets?

So finally decided to paint today.  My beautiful red baby is going camo.  Not your regular green, brown, and leafy.  A bright pink and light pink mix will make her shine  She will look gorgeous.  Many exciting changes for her in February and  just in time for her first full pass down the track.  Hopefully the airplane rivets give me a bust of luck because really I am ready to 'fly'down the track.  very very excited but I am keeping the MisBehavin mascot a secret for now.  If I show and tell all no one will come back for the real reveal.  More updates to come.

SnoCross season

So today was very eventful.  Cameron loved riding his new snowmobiles.  We bought them about a month ago and today was a test run.  Besides the exhaust blowing green, due to the large amount of money high octane fuel cost, they ran well.  He was all smiles form ear to ear.  I was a very happy mommy knowing that he actually could win this year.  Tienna spent all day taking her snow mobile test so that she could legally drive on public lands.  She was so excited to ride alone.  We got up there and she did amazing.  Just as we were getting ready to leave she got really brave and headed down the trail by herself.  We had just loaded both sleds and were waiting patiently for her to return.  Kyle and Cameron looked over just in time to see her hit a rock.  She did well but got stuck.  We had to unload to go pull her out.  When Cam got to her she was crying but so proud of herself.  Overall we had a fantastic test day and the beginning to an awesome season.  We also received our first order of merchandise this week.  We got MisBehavin hats.  My wonderful husband enlisted a saleswomen, a very awesome one, and because of her our  business was able to clear a mega 12.00 profit in 2011( I know there is three weeks left, but I am not keeping my fingers crossed that we will get more in before the knew year).  I hope what they say is true and small businesses double their profit in the second year.  If that's the case we may be able to put two gallons of racing fuel in next year.  Talk to you all again soon.  Have a happy and safe holiday from our family to yours.
